The complete number of Kyrgyzstan casinos is something in question. As data from this nation, out in the very remote central part of Central Asia, often is awkward to achieve, this might not be too difficult to believe. Regardless if there are two or three approved gambling halls is the element at issue, perhaps not really the most earth-shattering bit of information that we don’t have.
What no doubt will be true, as it is of the majority of the ex-Soviet nations, and certainly accurate of those located in Asia, is that there no doubt will be a good many more not allowed and underground gambling halls. The adjustment to legalized gaming did not energize all the aforestated locations to come out of the dark into the light. So, the clash regarding the total amount of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling dens is a tiny one at most: how many authorized casinos is the item we’re seeking to reconcile here.
We know that located in Bishkek, the capital municipality, there is the Casino Las Vegas (a stunningly unique name, don’t you think?), which has both table games and slot machines. We will also see both the Casino Bishkek and the Xanadu Casino. The two of these have 26 slot machine games and 11 table games, divided between roulette, chemin de fer, and poker. Given the amazing similarity in the sq.ft. and layout of these 2 Kyrgyzstan gambling dens, it may be even more astonishing to find that both are at the same location. This appears most confounding, so we can perhaps state that the list of Kyrgyzstan’s casinos, at least the legal ones, ends at two casinos, one of them having adjusted their name a short time ago.
The state, in common with most of the ex-Soviet Union, has undergone something of a fast adjustment to free-enterprise economy. The Wild East, you might say, to allude to the lawless conditions of the Wild West a century and a half ago.
Kyrgyzstan’s casinos are almost certainly worth going to, therefore, as a bit of social research, to see chips being wagered as a form of civil one-upmanship, the apparent consumption that Thorstein Veblen spoke about in 19th century America.
