If you enjoy a beverage from time to time, keep your cash out of the casino if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Clean out your pocketbook, your wallet, and keep all money, plastic credit and chequebooks at home. Only take whatever cash you anticipate to use on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to burn and keep the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not by any means. Just realistic. You may well have a win after a drunken evening out with your compatriots and be blessed sufficiently to hit a long roll at a hot craps table. Don’t forget that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you regularly drink alcohol and wager. These activities just do not mix.
Leaving your cash back at the hotel is a bit dramatic, but precautionary measures for drastic behavior is a requirement. If you gamble to succeed, then do not drink and play. If you can afford to toss aside your $$$$ without a worry, then consume all the complimentary booze you can handle, but do not carry plastic credit and chequebooks to toss into the mix of going after losses after your hooched up head throws away all the cash!
Allow me to take this 1 step more. Don’t drink and then jump on the web to wager in your favorite online casino either. I enjoy a cocktail from the comfort of my condo, however considering that I’m linked up through Neteller, Firepay and have charge cards near by, I can’t drink alcohol and bet.
Why? Although I don’t drink a lot, when I drink, it is definitely enough to blur my better judgment. I wager, so I do not consume alcohol when wagering. If you are more of a drinker, do not gamble at the same time. When mixed, both create a dangerous, and crazy, drink.
