There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just across the border from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling den gambling is not permitted. Eight gambling dens are anchored in a generally tiny space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 baccarat banque (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and 66 of the familiar table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 casinos in Poipet, also a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel building that highlights many amenities aside from the casino, which has ten thousand square feet of 130 slot machines and 88 tables.
